General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Kate Mansi will take over the role of Kristina Corinthos-Davis (last played by Lexi Ainsworth) during the week of May 22-26, so let’s unpack what that means for the character.

Mansi is a few years older than Ainsworth and has a bit more of a mature vibe, so that could affect story decisions for Kristina along with which romantic pairings she’s part of.

When recasts happen, it’s important for the show to make the necessary adjustments and play to a new performer’s strengths.

It’s been a long time since Kristina had a proper love interest, but maybe it’s time to change that.

With Kate Mansi coming in, it’ll be like giving Kristina a reboot – and that could open some new romantic doors.

Of course, we should mention that there are plenty of romantic possibilities for Kristina, who’s into both men and women.

This might be a great opportunity for a love triangle if Mansi’s version of Kristina falls for Chase and stirs up some jealousy for Brook Lynn in the process.

The show could at least let Chase and the new Kristina share some scenes as a chemistry test. It’s possible magic could happen and lead to these two becoming onscreen love interests sooner or later.

Mansi was once part of the popular “Chabby” pairing over on Days of Our Lives when she played Abigail Deveraux DiMera, who was married to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn).

That proves Mansi’s more than capable of being in a hot pairing that drives storylines.

Many DOOL fans will never forget Mansi’s work in the sizzling EJ DiMera (James Scott at the time) affair story either!

Mansi is a versatile actress who can play both sweet and steamy scenes, so GH has snatched up a talented new cast member.
